This workshop will provide a safe space to turn inward, to slow down and to soften more
deeply. Longer, passive and supported yin postures aim to soften our muscles and the
surrounding connective tissues which in turn helps to nourish the subtle energy systems
within the body. The art of softening and surrendering during this practice allows for a
deeper observation of the awareness of the present moment.
In between the yin poses we will explore somatic movement which can assist us with
being more attuned with our internal experience of movement (or lack thereof) and
improve our sensory-motor awareness, as well as increase the capacity within our
nervous system.
The season of Fall and the Metal Element calls for us to create more harmony within the
Lung and Large Intestine (Colon), drawing in pure Qi and releasing that which is no
longer serving us. Critically important to our self protective response, this element is
most responsible for our “felt sense” or somatic experience of our world.
No previous yoga or somatic movement experience necessary.
Please Note : Event will be canceled and refunded if less than 3 students are enrolled.
